Let this be in English so that it travels where it should. I am appalled by the hypocrites who came to visit us, from the European Parliament. They were biased and hypocrites. Forget Metsola, that was taken for granted.
But the chairperson of the group that came to investigate, in two days is reported as having said that the EU is concerned about the passport system in Malta. She is Dutch MEP Sophie in’t Veld.
As I do not take things at face value I went to see what they have in Holland. It is not all tulips from Amsterdam.
Here is what I found.
“The Netherlands launched Golden Investor Visa scheme on October 2013 to attract foreign investment and job creation in the country to benefit startups and VC funds. The scheme offers immediate residency to investors and the scheme is one of the fastest approval times (only 10 days) among all golden visa schemes in Europe.
The investment must bring added value and benefits to the Dutch economy. Netherlands is an important EU Schengen member state with best living standards in Europe with access to healthcare, education.
The benefits of golden visa in Netherlands include:
- Visa Free movement in Schengen zone
- Residence permit for family and children
- No minimum residence requirements.
- Excellent education and healthcare.
- EU citizenship after 5 years of living.
- Option Invest in Dutch real estate market such as buying a home.
- Access to Dual citizenship.
- Ease of doing business in Europe
- Right to work in Netherlands”

And what about rule of law in the Netherlands?
“We have more than a thousand unsolved murders in the Netherlands, and they do not receive the attention they deserve”, initiator Wicky van der Meijs, whose father was murdered in 2002, said to NOS. “As a result, a thousand perpetrators walk around freely. That creates fear and a feeling of injustice in relatives.”
