Il-linja tal-ajru Ryanair nediet l-iskeda tagħha minn Malta għax-xitwa li ġejja fejn b’kollox se jkollha wieħed u ħamsin rotta.
Din l-iskeda se jkollha titjira ġdida minn u lejn Memmingen, fil-Ġermanja, filwaqt li se tkun qed iżżid il-frekwenzi ta’ għoxrin rotta diġà stabbiliti, fosthom dawk lejn Brussell, Katanja, Dublin, Kraków, Ruma u Vjenna.
Fil-fatt, hu stmat li, b’kollox, din il-linja tal-ajru se tkun qed iġġorr mat-tliet miljun u nofs passiġġier matul ix-xitwa li ġejja bħala parti minn din l-iskeda.
Biex tkun tista’ tforni din l-iskeda tant impenjattiva, ir-Ryanair se tkun qed tinvesti mas-sitt mitt miljun dollaru Amerikan f’pajjiżna għax-xiri ta’ sitt ajruplani bbażati f’Malta, li huma aktar ambjentalment sostenibbli hekk kif jużaw inqas fjuwil u jniġġsu inqas.
F’pajjiżna, l-investiment tar-Ryanair ukoll se jkompli jappoġġja mat-tliet mitt impjieg ta’ kwalità għolja fil-qasam tal-avjazzjoni lokali.
Dan kollu tħabbar f’konferenza tal-aħbarijiet fl-uffiċini tal-linja tal-ajru Malta Air, li hi l-kumpanija sussidjarja tar-Ryanair, fejn ġiet indirizzata mill-Kap Eżekuttiv tar-Ryanair, Michael O’Leary, u l-Kap Eżekuttiv ta’ Malta Air u Lauda Air, David O’Brien.
F’kummenti ma’ dan l-istazzjon, O’Leary stqarr kif is-suq lokali hu wieħed minn dawk li l-aktar li qegħdin jikbru b’rati mgħaġġla.
Il-Kap Eżekuttiv Michael O’Leary qal, “Malta is one of the most fastest growing markets we have in Ryanair. We’ve invested heavily in Malta, we have a head office here, we have engineering, pilots, cabin crew and financial services. So, this winter we’re going to have 51 routes we will grow by about a double digit, traffic will grow by about ten to twelve percent this winter. We expect record traffic this year of about three point five million passengers. So, Malta continues to be a big and fast-growing market for Ryanair.”
Lil hinn mix-xitwa, il-Kap Eżekuttiv tar-Ryanair qal kif il-kumpanija qed tara li tkompli testendi s-servizzi tagħha minn u lejn pajjiżna għal matul is-sajf 2024.
Huwa qal, “Further on, we hope and we’re here with the Malta Air team, we’re discussing the possibility of adding new routes to the Summer of 2024. We’re hopeful of getting more aircraft from Boeing and what we’d like to do is to increase the number of based aircraft here from 6, hopefully to 7 maybe 8, in the next year or two. So we’re going to keep this momentum, keep growing not just low fares to and from Malta but also connecting Malta to more of the 290 airports we fly to all over Europe.”
