Id-diversità sabiħa. Iżda, daqstant ieħor jaf toffri sfida. Mhux l-inqas fuq il-post tax-xogħol.
Bl-ekonomija ta’ Malta tissaħħaħ tant li kellha bżonn iktar ħaddiema barranin, kumpanija lokali bl-isem ta’ Learning Works, ħasbet biex tħejji kors li jindirizza dan l-aspett.
Għalkemm Viviana Premazzi, esperta fid-diversità u koordinatur tal-kors bl-isem ta’ Understanding Diversity, spjegat li kontra għal li jaħsbu bosta, il-kelma ‘diversità’ mhix limitata biss għal razez differenti.
“We also have different generations in the same work place. All these differences can be hard to manage but the first step is to be aware. Once you are aware, then based on legislation and different tools and strategies you can apply, you can really discover the potetional of a diverse workforce”.
Il-kors li se jsir għandu l-għan li dawk fi gradi maniġerjali jkunu jistgħu jilqgħu aħjar għad-diversità fuq il-lant tax-xogħol. U biex tfassal saret riċerka u tħejjija li ħadu madwar xahar sħiħ.
“We have a model on cultural awareness and what it means. Then we have culture at work, a module on legislation and what you need to know on a national or european level. The last module is more planning your diversity or inclusion strategy”.
Iżda, kif hu possibbli li wieħed jaddatta għal kull tip ta’ kultura?
“It is a 30 hour course so we can say it’s a taste of managing diversity. There are things that you can apply to different nationalities or generations at the same time. The project based activies are designed to help each and every one based on the challenges or nationalities they have”.
Dan huwa wieħed minn żewġ korsijiet li faslet Learning Works din is-sena. Kors l-ieħor qed iħarreġ ħaddiema u studenti barranin fil-lingwa u l-kultura Maltija bil-għan li jintegraw aħjar ma’ sħabhom fuq il-post tax-xogħol.
