Dan ir-ritratt fuq vann li jbiegħ il-ħobż qanqal bosta reazzjonijiet fuq siti soċjali.
Fost oħrajn Yosanne Vella, professur fl-edukazzjoni, kitbet li huwa redikolu. Mistoqsija minn one.com.mt għaliex din ir-reazzjoni, wieġbet hekk:
“Għax m’ hemm ebda konnessjoni mal-prodott. Rari naraw każ daqshekk ċar ta’ użu tas-sess biex tiġbed l-attenzjoni u tbiegħ xi ħaġa. U f’dan il-każ, iktar tad-daħk. Għax x’aktarx qed tipprova tiġbed l-attenzjoni tan-nisa, mhux tal-irġiel, filwaqt li użaw xi ħaġa li se tiġbed lill-irġiel aktar milli lin-nisa.”
Żiedet tgħid li wieħed jista’ jaħseb li hija xi ħaġa żgħira, pero filfatt għandha riperkussjonijiet serji, għaliex iżżid l-idea u l-isterjotip li n-nisa huma oġġetti biss biex jintużaw. Anke jekk mhux konxjament, il-messaġġ ikraħ, żiedet tgħid Vella.

L-opinjonista Josanne Cassar kitbet:
“Oh, you know, just another advert showing a woman’s body with her face cut off. To sell bread.”
Kummenti oħra huma:
- This is exactly the kind of thing that makes it difficult for us women to be respected and viewed as something more than just our bodies…
- I wonder if the marketing manager behind this campaign is a man or woman… methinks its a man!!!
- Wtf have bread and tits got in common?!
- Seems like these advertising campaigns are becoming a trend..and Malta Communications Authority stays silent. Amazing. Someone is suppose to be monitoring. Who? I do not know.
- That’s what I think of while buttering my bread !! Boobs. Don’t you !? Pfft
