After getting pole position and overcoming three lobby restarts, due to glitches from the servers, Jake Sammut (McLaren) come out victorious in Melbourne. With this, he managed to extend his championship lead by 73 points.
Following a lightning start, Adrian Manduca (Haas), managed to get from third to first in a matter of corners. He started with the hard compound of tyres while almost everyone used the mediums. Even if, technically he should have been slower due to the tyre difference, Manduca managed to keep in front for most of the race. Seven laps from the chequered flag, the safety car came out after an incident from Kurt Friggieri (AlphaTauri). Brandon Bonello (Mercedes) finished second with Adrian Manduca (Haas) right behind him with the fastest lap. Matthias Farrugia (AlphaTauri) was awarded the Driver of the Day Award after finishing fifth from P13. We also saw an incredible comeback drive from Christian Sammut (Haas) after ending up in P15 in first lap and back up to P6 at the end of the race.
